But a few days after the receipt of these pages, we shall have the
pleasure of meeting in Boulogne. We desire to send hearty good wishes
and the hope that this _First Esperantist World-Congress_ will be for
all participants a most pleasant gathering; also that the results
there to be arrived at will inspire irresistible enthusiasm among our
comrades of many lands. It seems to us most desirable that linguistic
questions should be under the guidance of some _International
Committee_, of course presided over by Dr. Zamenhof himself. To
attain this end divers proposals have already appeared, and we warmly
advise all Congress-men to read the most useful booklet: _Congress
Projects received previous to June 15th_, 32 pp., published by the
Groupe Espérantiste de Boulogne.

Our French friends certainly intend to do all possible to promote
the success of the Congress, and, among other things, we have
received a copy of the excellent _Congress Book_, 163 pp., written
by our esteemed collaborator, M. Paul Boulet. The volume contains
a description of the town and surroundings, a French-Esperanto
phrase-book, poems to be learned by rote, as _Espero_ and _La Vojo_,
illustrations, and--we rejoice to note--a most impressive collection
of commercial advertisements. This book, more than any hitherto
published, proves that the commercial man of to-day is at last
awakening to the importance of Esperanto as a commercial medium. We
hope the go-ahead advertisers will profit by their wisdom.

We have this month received the long-promised _Master John Hus_, a
finely printed 40-page work treating the _Life, Doings, Condemnation
and Death of the Glorious Martyr_, written by J. F. Khun, with
preface by Professor Carlo Bourlet. Cost, 10d., from the _Presa
Societo, 33 rue Lacépède, Paris, V_.
The _Esperanto-Spanish Dictionary_ arrived a few days gone, and
is the most bulky of our present vocabularies. Uniform with the
_Fundamenta Krestomatio_, it contains 364 pages, and the price (5s.)
is certainly not excessive.
_Esperanto_ is the title of the new weekly sheet issued by MM.
Berthelot and Lambert. In form it resembles the ordinary French
Daily, and contains interesting information of our progress. It is
stated that the paper is sold at all station book-stalls in France.
