BLACK PECTORAL LOZENGES.

Take of extract of liquorice,

gum arabic, each 4 oz.

white sugar, 8 oz.

Dissolve them in warm water, and strain; then evaporate

the mixture over a gentle fire, till it be of a proper

consistence for being formed into lozenges, which are to be

cut out of any shape.
