Take of aniseed,

angelica-seed, each bruised, ½ lb.

proof-spirit, 1 gallon,

water, sufficient to prevent a bad taste or flavour.

Draw off 1 gallon by distillation.

This compound is often employed with advantage, in cases of

_flatulent colic_.
