second aluminous mordant p. 224).
1 half gallon iron liquor of spec. grav. 1·027; dissolve in them
4 ounces of sulphate of copper, 4 ounces of verdigris, and 1
ounce of nitrate of copper; thicken with
2 libs. of gum,
4 libs. of pipe-clay.
