GYPSY LULLABY

SLEEP thee, little tawny boy!

Thy mother’s gone abroad to spae,

Her kindly milk thou shalt enjoy

When home she comes at close of day.

Sleep thee, little tawny guest!

Thy mother is my daughter fine;

As thou dost love her kindly breast,

She once did love this breast of mine.
