Take of rhubarb, sliced, 3 oz.
lesser cardamom seeds, bruised, ½ oz.
liquorice root, bruised, ½ oz.
saffron, 2 drams,
proof spirit of wine, 2 pints.
Digest for seven days, and strain. Dose, ½ an oz. as a _purge_,
or 2 dr. as a _stomachic_.
