The best twine for crocheting is what is known as seine or macramé
cotton twine, and is sold by numbers; 6 and 9, the finer numbers, are
used for tidies, etc.; 12, 16 and 20 for lambrequins. Care should be
taken in purchasing the twine, to get the best quality, as there are
several grades made; that having a cream color, bordering on écru,
makes the best work.
