The meaning of this true relation is most clear. The man Thomas did not
come to church as he should, and thus despised God’s holy ordinances
and commands. Therefore God avenged Himself of him and struck him even
where he had most offended--in his wife and children. How marvellously
just and true are all His ways. Blessed be His Name for ever. Amen.
