DURAZZO, Oct. 4.
Essad Pasha was today named President of the temporary Government. The
time limit for taking possession of the Government expired at 2 P.M. A
short time before this hour Essad Pasha occupied the strategic points
of the city with his forces of 10,000 Ottomans.
The members of the Albanian Senate elected him President, and
expressed to him their congratulations for the confidence the nation
has in him.
