Comfort Bags should be made of washable material, preferably of some
dark color and may contain any or all of the following articles.
Needle case containing 1 package of No. 5 needles and 1 package of
darning needles. White sewing cotton No. 30. White, also gray or khaki
darning cotton. Buttons, black, white, medium size, in bag 3 by 5
inches. Large thimble. Blunt-pointed scissors. Cake of soap. Card of
safety pins, medium size. Paper of white and black pins. Small comb,
tooth brush. Tooth paste. Soldiers mirror, round if possible.
Handkerchiefs. Lead pencil. Writing pad, envelopes and post cards.
Pocket knife. Shoe laces, black or brown.
