Chain 63, skip first chain. 1 single crochet stitch in each chain. 62
stitches in row. Second row: 1 single crochet in each stitch, taking up
the front and back thread. Repeat second row until there are 48 rows in
all. Join together with slip stitch 3 inches from each end, leaving 2
inches for thumb, join each end with slip stitch.
