4 Steel Needles No. 13
Cast on 60 stitches, having 20 stitches on each of 3 needles. Knit 2,
purl 2, for 3 inches. Now work all the stitches off on to one needle,
knit 2, purl 2 for 2 inches, this is for the opening of the thumb; now
divide the stitches on three needles again, knit 10 inches more and bind
off.
