Cast on 84 stitches. Rib for 3 inches in rounds of knit 2, purl 2. *
Purl 3 rounds, knit 3 rounds plain. Repeat from * until work measures 14
inches, including the ribbing at the top.
_The Toe_—* Knit 1, knit 2 together, knit plain until within 3 stitches
of the end of the needle, knit 2 together, knit 1. Repeat this narrowing
on the other two needles. Knit 1 round plain. Repeat from * until you
have 12 stitches left. Draw end of wool through these stitches and
fasten securely on the wrong side.
