[Footnote 68: Duke of Milan,--Galeas Maria Sforza. Having indulged
his illicit passions at the cost of the most respectable houses in
Florence, two injured noblemen, Lampognano and Visconti, assassinated
him. His infant son was placed under the guardianship of Ludovico
Sforza, surnamed the Moor, who seized the dukedom for himself.
