Given the nature of the available scans, some texts in the footnotes
were hardly legible. While the latin text is recoverable without too
much trouble, some foreign words are a problem, especially when
diacritics are used: with the current image quality, the absence of
context and the transcriber’s lack of knowledge of the involved
languages, it is almost impossible to distinguish â, ä and á, for
example, and errors were most probably inserted in the process of
transcription. Also, the transcriber was unable to faithfully
transcribe the Hebraic characters in the introduction consistently,
so an image was used instead until proper transcription.
