We have a big Artesian well which flows over the pipe almost six
inches, and is five hundred feet deep.
Not long ago we went to San Francisco on the cars, visited
Woodward's Garden, and had a very nice time. I enjoyed the many
sights, but was most delighted with the sea-lions and the monkeys.
There is a place in the bay near San Francisco where the rocks are
covered with sea-lions.
