_"Qui facit per alium, facit per se," &c._ (Vol. vii., p. 488.).--This maxim is found in the following form in the _Regulae Juris_, subjoined to the 6th Book of the Decretals, Reg. lxxii.: "Qui facit per alium, est perinde ac si faciat per seipsum."
