Nottingham, Aug. 12. 104. _Sir Thomas More's Knighthood._--I should, be glad of the date when the honour of knighthood was conferred on this eminent man and also the date of his admission into the privy council. If I am rightly informed, the records of the privy council are preserved only since 1540.
