DIRECTIONS FOR PACKING DECORATED CHINA,

_When it has to be shipped away for firing._

Have the work _perfectly_ dry; if necessary, drying in oven, which may

alter the color, but firing will restore that. Wrap each piece

separately in fine paper, and pack in a box large enough to admit

sufficient excelsior straw or paper to keep all steady, particularly the

corners. Allow good layers at the bottom and top of the boxes. By

sending directions in the box with the china, its prompt return is

assured. In giving instructions with the china, be explicit as to pieces

requiring gilding, and amount desired. Prices quoted on list refer to

simple lines only. Gilding costs extra.
