An _Ass_ made a _Judge_ of _Musick_.
There was a Question started betwixt a _Cuckow_ and a _Nightingale_,
which of the Two had the Better Voice, and the better way of Singing. It
came at last to a Tryal of Skill, and an _Ass_ was to be the Judge; who
upon Hearing both Sides, gave it clearly for the _Cuckow_.
