REFLEXION.

This Confirms the Proverb, that _Charity begins at Home_, and when all is

done, there’s No Man loves a Friend so Well, but he loves Himself Better.

There are No People more Startled at Death, then Those that have gotten

a Custom of Calling for’t. _Oh that Death would Deliver Me!_ (says One)

_Oh, that Death would take Me in the Place of my Dear Husband!_ says

T’other. But when Death comes to Present Himself indeed, and to take them

at their Words, the Good Wife very Civilly puts the Change upon him, and

tells him, that _the Person he comes for lies in the Bed there_. In few

Words, to call for _Death_ in _Jest_, is _Vain_, and _Unprofitable_. To

call for’t in _Earnest_, is _Impious_: And to call for’t _at all_, is

both _Foolish_ and _Needless_; for _Death_ will most certainly come at

his appointed time, whether he be call’d for or No.
