There’s No Trying of Experiments, without laying Things and Things
together: For That which is agreeable to the Nature of One Thing, is
Many times Contrary to the Nature of Another. Several Humours are to be
Wrought upon several Ways, and the Case betwixt _Wax_ and _Brick_, is
the very same Case too betwixt One Man and Another. Some are to be dealt
withal by Fair Means; Others by Foul; and that which Hardens the One
softens the Other.
