Nor that which owns a despot's sovereignty;
To the true mean in all God gives success,[512]

On other course looks on;
And I will say, with this in harmony,
That Pride is truly child of Godlessness;
While from the soul's true health
Comes the fair fortune, loved of all mankind,
And aim of many a prayer.
