I wish I was the Pirate King
Who sailed the seas in days of old;
I’d drink my wine and loudly sing,
And capture great ships packed with gold
And fling my captives in the hold
And sail away across the night
Beyond the moon so round and white.
The ships who sail the ocean now
Just wireless all they want to say,
Like “How d’you do,” before they bow
And pass politely on their way;
All sorts of rules they must obey.
I think, when all is said and done,
The Pirate King had much more fun.
