Since the compilation of the word JIMPLECUTE, the curious, the
thoughtless, and thoughtful, the learned and the unlearned have been
curious to know the significance of the word. The linguists of renown
have failed to find any trace of the word in any of the live or dead
languages. We have at last decided to place before our readers the
origin of the word, and let those who have characterized the name as
being meaningless see how far wrong they were. We doubt if there is a
name carried in the entire newspaper fraternity that has more
significance than the JIMPLECUTE. It is the friend of all the elements
that builds up the country, it is absolutely free from politics. It is a
friend of labor, likewise capital. It advocates industry, and greatest
of all it advocates friendship and unity between every interest. When
