Work 22 shells same as jacket. Work in picot and shell pattern until
there are 5 picot rows (turnback), ch 2, turn. NEXT ROW: Working in back
loop of sts 1 s c in 1st s c, * 1 s c on each side of picot, 1 s c in s
c between picots, repeat from * to end of row. NEXT 3 ROWS: 1 s c in
each st. NEXT ROW: 1 d c in each s c. Repeat last 4 rows until cap
measures 5½ inches from turnback. Fold cap in half and sl st tog
matching sts, cut yarn.
FINISHING: Fold turnback in place, working through both thicknesses
attach yarn and work 1 s c in each s c row around entire cap
(approximately 50 s c). NEXT 2 ROWS: Working in back loop, 1 s c in each
s c. NEXT ROW: Work 1 d c in each st. NEXT ROW: Sl st around entire cap,
cut yarn. Lace ribbon through d c row. Finish with ribbon ties.
