Erubescent, the southern sky
With sunset pools of flaming foam
Like opened crucibles of Hell
Glows redly, as a burning Rome
Beneath its red malevolanace
Where swooning orbs recline
Are etched grotesque and curious trees
With shapes of strange outline.
