WIGLESWORTH'S SUNBIRD.

Anthreptes malaccensis wiglesworthi Hartert, Novit. Zool. (1902),

9, 209. [92]

Anthreptes wiglesworthi McGregor and Worcester, Hand-List

(1906), 100.

Bongao (Everett); Pangamian (Bartsch); Sulu (Guillemard, Platen,

Bourns & Worcester, Bartsch); Tawi Tawi (Everett).

Hartert does not give a full description of this bird, but states that

the sides of the head are almost as red as with A. rhodolæma and that

the under side is like A. chlorigaster. I have not seen specimens of

Anthreptes from any of the Sulu group of islands.
