````Come, cheerful and gay
````As the glad sun in May,
````Let us carol away
````The bright Christmas Day.=
````The star of His birth
````Shines white o'er the earth.
````Then in transports henceforth
````Let us shout of His worth.
````Our griefs we will fling
````To the winds as we sing,
````And our voices shall ring
````With the name of our King.=
