(_This story may be accompanied by blackboard sketches of the phases of
the moon._)
One day the moon asked her mother for a cloak that would fit her well.
“How can I make a cloak that will fit you?” answered the mother. “You are
always changing your size. One day you are a new moon. Another day you
are a full moon. And another day you are neither.”
So the little moon has to go without a cloak.
