Hard soap ½ oz.
Rectified spirit of wine 8 oz.
Camphor ½ oz.
Oil of rosemary 2 dr.
Oil of lavender, or oil of origanum 2 dr.
Compound spirit of ammonia 4 oz.
Digest in a moderate heat, so as to dissolve the soap, which should be
cut up in thin shavings. For these expensive preparations, the following
may be substituted:—
