Strong solution of ammonia 1 oz.
Olive oil 2 oz.—Mix.
To this, camphor, or oil of turpentine is sometimes added; and the
solution of ammonia is joined, for some purposes, to the soap liniment.
The soap liniment is the same as the celebrated opodeldoc, and may be
either solid or fluid, according to the proportion of soap used; but it
may be made also with soft soap, and is then fluid with a larger
proportion of soap.—_Vide_ EGYPTIACUM.
