In preparation for this book Mr. Pellett visited many of America’s
foremost beekeepers and queen breeders, both north and south and has
described their methods fully.
The methods of the older queen-breeders and writers, Alley, Doolittle
and others, are explained with the variations which are the
development of later years.
Simple methods of rearing a few queens in a small apiary, as well as
methods used for rearing queens in wholesale quantity, make the book
valuable alike to the ordinary beekeeper and commercial queen breeder.
